There is some confusion in the marketplace if 'Hemp Oil' is the same as CBD Oil? Several major ecommerce retailers like Amazon, Walmart and others sell Hemp Oil products on their sites and many consumers are thinking these hemp oil items contain CBD. Unfortunately, they don't.
CBD products are still strictly forbidden to sell on most major ecommerce sites like Amazon. Some hemp oil items listed on these sites explicitly state on the packaging that it does not contain CBD. But many consumers don't look at a package's fine print (especially online) and don't discover their item doesn't contain CBD until receiving the product - or maybe never find out.
So, what's the difference between Hemp Oil and CBD Oil?
CBD Oil uses the whole plant, while hemp oil comes from its seeds. But more recently, because of the growing CBD market, hemp oil derived from the seed of the plant is now more commonly referred to as hemp seed oil. CBD Oil is made from a variety of parts of the mature hemp plant including its stalks and flowers.
So when researching and/or shopping for CBD products look for retailers that explicitly state the products they offer contain CBD. If they don't, look elsewhere! But you won't find it on Amazon and most major retailer sites. At PrepRightCBD all of our products contain CBD and are accurately labeled and marketed!
